Throwing Taster Voucher
from 75.00

Private throwing taster class for one or two people (price is the same either way), perfect for beginners looking to try pottery for the first time or people with some experience needing help with their technique.

In this 2 hour session you will be guided through the fundamental techniques needed for throwing basic forms on the potters wheel. You will gain an understanding of how studio pottery is made and the various stages of the process.

If you would like to keep what you have made during the class, I will glaze your pieces ready to be collected a few weeks later.

If you would like to also turn your thrown pots (the technique in which the pots are trimmed and refined once hardened) please book 2 classes and we can arrange a session for the following week to trim the pots.

The classes make great gifts, a printed gift voucher (as in image) can be posted to your address upon request, please email through the address you would like it to be sent to.

Please note:

Long nails will be uncomfortable for throwing on the potter’s wheel.
Pottery can be messy so please wear appropriate clothing.
